Since 1958, Wilvaken is a bilingual traditional camp with an international clientele. 100 English and French campers live and play together, with youngsters from other lands. A traditional, adventurous camp. Mature staff many of who were campers and have completed our training. Un milieu bilingue, anglais - français. Choix des programmes individu. L’instruction linguistique optionnelle sans frais additionnel. Disponible pour des groupes autonomes ou avec moniteurs pendant l’automne/printemps.

First post- January 2012

Welcome Bienvenue Bienvenidos Guten Tag
As a new blogger,we will keep this message short this time.

For Wilvaken friends, family, campers and staff (current and alumni) Dave and I welcome you to our blog. We will be looking for some blogging input from all of you. Languages you may write in are English, French, Spanish or German. These blogs will not be translated unless you wish to do this yourself. To have your blog message published, we ask you to please e-mail your blog article to wilvaken@wilvaken.com and we shall then post it. We will accept pictures as well. Dave and I are very excited to have this happen on a regular basis.

Maya et Dave Willis sont directeurs et propriétaires de Wilvaken depuis 1985, année ou ils ont pris la relève des parents de Dave. Dave a grandi dans l'environnement des camps de vacances, travaillant comme moniteur à Wilvaken et dans d'autres camps, au cours des années 60 et 70. Puis, il a fait carrière dans le milieu informatique en développement de logiciels avant de revenir à Wilvaken. Quant à Maya, inhalothérapeute et chef de service dans un hôpital de Montréal pendant plusieurs années, elle s'adonnait activement au camping avant de rejoindre Dave à Wilvaken, dont elle s'occupe maintenant à temps plein., Maya and Dave Willis have been directors and owners since 1985, having taken over from Dave's parents at that time. Dave grew up actively involved with Wilvaken. He was on staff there and at other camps from the mid-1960's to the early 1970's. He then followed a career in computer software development before returning to Wilvaken. Maya was a Respiratory Therapist for several years, formerly department head at a hospital in Montreal and was also active in camping prior to joining Dave. Wilvaken has since become her full time occupation.
